IITians for ITI Project website

A project website is a service provided by the program team to each project team. As the IITians start to come together to volunteer on a specific project, program team will setup their project site. So far the program has the following project sites:

  • Program launch
  • ITI Aundh (Pune)
  • ITI Bangalore
  • ITI Hyderabad
  • ITI Surat
  • CCID & AACC Partnership

Besides having all the basic elements of a project management tool, this site also has a built-in blog (called messages) and wiki (called whiteboard). Further it is a password protected website providing privacy for sensitive information such as phone numbers. Finally, it is fairly affordable (although not free) and easy to use.

Thanks are due to Ashutosh Sanzgiri (IIT/B ‘89) Events Director for PanIIT chapter in Oregon, who recommended using basecamp to provide this service.

Yahoo groups

Our program has the following Yahoo groups for communicating with the volunteers, advisors, friends and supportes for the program:

All members of these groups receive periodic updates from us about new developments, upcoming events and progress on projects at various ITIs. This will keep them involved, and allow them to take more active role in future.
